Tom Woodward - President

  • Tom has been an active investor, advisor and executive for a variety of high growth multinational ventures. Tom is a founding partner and President of Advanced Power Control Solutions, LLC (APCS) based in Scottsdale, AZ with offices in Pennsylvania.
  • Tom was previously an early stage investor and principal in Blue Diamond Technologies (BDT), a Canadian technology enterprise with a focus on renewable energy platforms and recycling technologies. Tom served BDT as both President and CMO.
  • Tom founded several successful businesses during his professional career and has extensive expertise in business management, sales, marketing and advertising. He created a buying alliance providing services to primarily Fortune 500 companies.
  • Tom was a founding partner with Brad Hilton, in GAINS Investment Funds based in Houston, TX.
  • Tom, the father of three, has long been active in coaching, community service and youth sports. He served as a key advisor to Junior Rank Sports and Chairman of the Semper Fidelis Committee, which introduced a new high school football game in Phoenix in 2012. The game is sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps and known as the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. The game was nationally televised and played at Chase Field.
  • Tom's commitment to nonprofit work and his efforts on behalf of children propelled him into the national limelight. As a result of his endeavors in this area he has appeared on numerous programs, including; Good Morning America, PrimeTime Live, ABC, CBS, NBC national news and CNN. Tom's advocacy provided him with the opportunity to testify before the FDA and Congress. He has been quoted extensively in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, among others. In 2005 Tom was recognized in Los Angeles by an international human rights organization as a humanitarian of the year.

Chris Abeyta - PE, PMP, Director of Engineering

Chris is the founder and CEO of Power & Control Solutions, Inc. (PCS). He is an accomplished and respected Professional Engineer (PE) and Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 25 years of hands-on experience in both U.S. and International coal power generation. He has patent pending insertion technology that is licensed and installed in coal power plants across the country for the abatement of pollutants. Chris speaks at technical forums and has published numerous articles on furnace injection techniques. In the latest pending patent, Mr. Abeyta developed a hybrid burner for coal power plants. This innovative burner, the HB3, provides the capability to substitute cleaner natural gas, or NGL, with up to 35% of the coal in coal-fired power generation. This Hybrid Burner, HB3, is the next generation of hybrid fuel technology.

Robert Crynack, PhD., Director of Technology

Bob is a highly respected expert in pollution control with over 35 years of experience in the industry. Bob has held senior positions with several companies, including FMC where he was instrumental in developing the innovative PerNOxideTM reagent. As such, he is one the most knowledgeable individuals in SNCR technology. Additionally Dr. Crynack is the author or co-author of approximately 40 papers on a wide variety of particulate control topics.

  • Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) member Past Chairman, Control Technology Division of Technical Council of AWMA. Past Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary of AWMA AE-1 Technical Committee on Control Technology. Current member of AE-1.
  • International Society for Electrostatic Precipitation (ISESP) since 1987. Current Board Member of the International Society for Electrostatic Precipitation (ISESP). Past President, Secretary Treasurer, and Vice-President. Honored with the ISESP International Fellow Award in 1996 and in 2006 the Harry J. White Award as a scientist/engineer who has made notable contributions in the field of electrostatic precipitator technology.

Bob serves APCS in a unique capacity with his extensive technical experience and many contacts in industry and regulatory affairs.

Anna Sokolova, J.D., LL.M, MBA, Director of Business Development

Anna was the founder and managing partner of Eurasian Investments LLC, a consulting company that focuses on international business development and investments. Anna’s professional background is business and international law. She served as in-house corporate counsel for several state-owned enterprises in her native Russia and took them through privatization process. She was among the first generation of Russian lawyers that worked with foreign direct investments. She taught business, environmental law and consumers’ rights at the Urals State University of Economics before she moved to the United States. Anna holds her law degree with focus on business law from Urals State Legal Academy, and Masters of International Law and Business (LL.M) from the University of Arizona and is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, U.S. District Court, District of Arizona, Supreme Court, the State of Arizona.



Anna is passionate about her cross-cultural work with investors and start-up companies. She strongly believes that success of joint ventures largely depends on parties’ ability to communicate and work together through their differences. A certified mediator and dispute resolution consultant, she has expertise in global negotiations and conflict management. A recent graduate of Thunderbird Executive MBA program, Anna resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and leads her teams in the Urals Region, Russia and the U.S. She is a professor at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, ranked as the #1 International Business School globally. Anna will focus on contract acceleration in the U.S. in preparation for expansion into markets such as India and China.
